A platformer where you play as a crash-test dummy trapped inside an in-development video game, desperate to escape the Sisyphean nightmare created by The Designer.

As one of 5 designers on a team of 45, I prototyped the movement mechanics, including running, jumping, sliding, and smooth transitions into animations.
In response to feedback from our playtesters and faculty advisors, I ideated a plan to make our movement mechanics more dynamic and add more opportunities for player skill expression.
I diagrammed the state transitions for our current mechanics…
… and my proposed changes.
After feedback from our Lead Designer and Game Director, I prototyped the new movement mechanics in-engine.
